The Ease and Efficiency of Contract Facility Services

As a Facility Manager imagine only having staff when you need them, never dealing with HR issues, payroll, or benefits. Sound too good to be true? Well, it’s not. Using contracted facility services provides you with the skilled staff you need, when you need them, without all the HR hassles.

After spending more than 20 years in the Facility Management world on the client end of the business, I have experienced that some locations just don’t require full-time staff. The work ebbs and flows. Sometimes there is more work than staff can handle, and other times it’s chirping crickets. With contracted services, staff is only there when you need them. When the work is done, they leave, so you are not paying staff to find things to do.

At Sierra Group, where I manage the Facility Services Division, we offer this convenience in two ways. We can provide experienced technicians on an on-call basis, or schedule them on a recurring basis to keep things under control. We can supplement your existing Facilities team, or act as your team. Our services are tailored to your specific needs, addressing the issues that are most important to you.

During a scheduled maintenance visit the technician takes care of any task list items that have accumulated since the last visit. They do a complete site inspection and correct any issues discovered. They also complete an SB198 inspection of the facility each quarter. This process keeps your site humming along in what I like to call a dial tone state. Quiet, no drama.

For those facilities that just need help every once in a while, we offer on-call services just for that purpose. Contact us as the need arises, and in many instances, we can have someone at your site the next day. Under extreme emergencies even the same day. We have a staff of Project Managers to oversee the schedule of service calls and aid the technicians with their assigned tasks.

Don’t let your projects go unfinished or your tasks uncompleted. Get on scheduled maintenance with Sierra Group today.
