What is remote focus?

Remote focus is the ability to adjust your camera’s focus and field of view remotely via a connection to the camera, all from your desk, even from home! This ability to remotely focus the camera without your physical presence makes it easier and quicker to focus your camera and react accordingly.

How it works

The camera is equipped with a motor that physically moves the lens closer or further from the subject that changes the zoom and focus of the camera. As lighting conditions shift and change or objects in the camera’s field of view move, remote focus allows you to adjust the camera so you can attain optimum views.

Changes can be made via browser, LAN connection or even through an app in some cases. Your Security Provider can also make the changes for you.
